Q: How do I sign up to participate?
A: You can sign up to participate here. Select ‘Join hackathon’ and create a Devpost account.
Q: Are currently enrolled graduate students allowed to participate?
A: Yes! Graduate students are eligible to participate as long as they are currently enrolled at a university in the United States, Canada, Australia, or India.
Q: I do not have a team. Can I participate alone as a team of one person?
A: No, only teams of 2-4 members can participate in the competition.
Q: I am enrolled in a non university bootcamp course. Am I eligible?
A: Unfortunately, only university students are eligible for this year’s competition.

Q: I am working with a team. Do we all need to register on Devpost?
A: Yes! All team members must create their own account and register on Devpost via figbuild2026.devpost.com.
Q: I am working with a team. How do I register my team on Devpost?
A: Each team member should register individually for the event.
- Before March 6: All teammates should create a Devpost account and select 'Join hackathon' on the FigBuild 2026 page.
- Starting March 6 at 12PM EST: One team member can start the project submission and add teammates by going to the project page and clicking “+ add team members.”
Q: Do I need to sign up with my EDU email for Devpost?
A: No, but you will need a verified EDU email.
Q: I am working with a team. Do we all need to be education verified on Figma?
A: Yes! All team members must be verified for the Figma for Education program using their school-issued email. You can check if you are verified at figma.com/education/apply.
Q: I am working with a team. Do we all need to individually submit our project at the end, or does one person submit the project on behalf of our team?

A: If you registered on Devpost before 11am EST on Friday, March 6th, your redemption link has been sent to the email corresponding to your Devpost registration around 12pm EST on Friday, March 6th.
